Visual Identity and Design
Custom lettering and exhibition title design for 80WSE: Legacies: Asian American Art Movements in New York City (1969–2001).
Chenzo Studio was tasked with creating a visual identity that felt bold and contemporary while challenging traditional institutional aesthetics. The design features custom letterforms composed of two fundamental shapes—the circle and the square—symbolizing the connection between East and West. The varying stroke thicknesses evoke the dynamic movement of traditional calligraphy, adding depth and motion to the overall design.
